Ushers assist priests, deacons, and parishioners at Saturday evening, Sunday, and Holy Day Masses.

Ushers are also needed at other liturgical functions such as First Communion, Confirmation, and special parish Masses. They greet people as they enter the church, seat parishioners when necessary, collect the offertory, bring up the gifts at Mass if a family is not available, direct parishioners for Holy Communion, and hand out bulletins. They also assist anyone who becomes ill or need medical attention. Time commitment is about an hour weekly.  Holy Days and special functions require more time commitment and are scheduled by the Head Usher. Saturday evening and Sunday ushers usually attend the same Mass each week. The ministry of the usher is open to both women and men in the parish. Substitutes are needed.
