Sixth Pastor | St. Robert Bellarmine Parish | Omaha, NE
Fr. Ryan Lewis became the sixth pastor of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Omaha in 2024.
Previously, he had been pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
Fr. Lewis was ordained a priest on June 5, 1999 after studies at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy.
After ordination, Fr. Lewis took advanced studies in canon law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
In addition to his duties at St. Robert, Fr. Lewis is a judge on the Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Omaha. He also serves
as the ecumenical/interfaith officer for the Archdiocese, and is Archbishop Michael McGovern’s episcopal delegate for the cause of canonization for
the Servant of God Edward J. Flanagan. He serves as chaplain to the Omaha chapter of Legatus.
Fr. Lewis is a member of the Canon Law Society of America, the Knights of Columbus, and the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre.
The son of Terry & Roxie (Winkler) Lewis, both deceased, Father grew up on a farm near Valley, NE.
He entered the seminary upon graduation from Mt. Michael Benedictine High School in Elkhorn. He has an older brother, Thomas.
