The Parish Pastoral Council are parishioners who advise the pastor, providing vision and direction for the parish. It acknowledges its origins in the Second Vatican Council, and is in accord with Archdiocesan church norms. The Council works with various boards and committees throughout the year as a channel of communication with all parish organizations.

Half of the new members are recruited. Half apply and voted on by the current Parish Council. Candidates must be ratified by the pastor to become officially on the board. A Council member serves a three-year term and can be asked to do a second term.

The Council meets quarterly and members should expect about 5 hours a month of work. Board members may be asked to take on additional duties, which would be additional time, needed to support the Council. 

The Parish Council leads and oversees the Annual Parish Picnic each year.
